The unattended death callout on Monday in an arroyo near the 2000 block of east Lohman Avenue does not appear to involve foul play.
About 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, Las Cruces police were dispatched to the report of an unattended death in the arroyo that runs underneath Lohman Avenue near Del Monte Street. Police learned that two men walking in the area discovered the man who was deceased.
Police arrived and confirmed the discovery. The area was cordoned off for about four hours while police conducted their on-scene investigation.
Preliminary information from the investigation indicates the man’s death does not appear to be the result of foul play.
Police have yet to locate and notify the man’s next of kin.
