Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., will change its Library Management System on Sept. 1.
As the library heads into the final weeks with the current system, library patrons may find some service limitations leading up to the Sept. 1 transition.
Important dates to keep in mind:
- The last day to place holds – until the transition is complete – is 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28.
- From Monday, Aug. 29 until Thursday, Sept. 1, circulation services will be limited to checkout and renewal (in-person and with the physical item only). Patrons will be unable to place holds on items during this time. Patrons may return items during this time, but staff will not be able to access or make changes to a library account.
- The last day to export and save reading histories from the old system is Wednesday, Aug. 3.
- Regular circulation services will resume Thursday, Sept. 1. Library patrons will also have access to the new catalog and can place holds on this date.
Branigan Library will be open regular business hours during this transition and all other services and programs will be available. The library’s digital collection will remain available and will not experience any disruption in service.
