[ARCHIVED] City of Las Cruces Labor Day Holiday Schedule 2022

City Hall and most City of Las Cruces offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Police and fire services will not be affected.

The following is a list of closures:

  • Thomas Branigan Memorial Library (also Sage Café and Munson branches)
  • All museums
  • All senior centers
  • Visit Las Cruces
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center
  • Juvenile Citation Program
  • East Mesa Recreation Center
  • Meerscheidt Recreation Center
  • A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven
  • All RoadRUNNER Transit Services and facilities
  • Rio Grande Theatre
  • Solid Waste Offices
  • Foothills Landfill
  • Frenger pool

The following is a list of open facilities/operating services:
Solid waste and recycling services for residential and commercial customers will operate on a normal schedule.
The City's Regional Aquatic Center and both outdoor pools will be open.
Here are the schedules: 

  • Regional Aquatic Center 
    • Aquatic Fitness Session: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    • Open Swim Session 1: noon to 3 p.m.
    • Open Swim Session 2:  3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
    • Fitness Area and Weight Room: 7:30 a.m. to  6:30 p.m.
  • FREE SWIM DAY at Laabs Pool and East Mesa Pool: noon to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
