1. I own rental property. If my renter leaves without paying the Utility bill, am I responsible for the bill?

Yes. Las Cruces Utilities will do everything possible to collect the bill for gas, water, wastewater, and solid waste services from the renter who occupied the property. However, if the utility bill cannot be collected from the renter, the property owner is ultimately responsible for the bill.

2. How do I sign up for E-Billing?

Going paperless saves trees and time - Customers who choose email delivery of their bill receive it within 24 hours after the bill is created. Email delivery also allows you to send a copy to two different email addresses, if you wish. Click here to request Email Bill Delivery
